The course will highlight common pitfalls in DNA interpretation, limitations in current methodologies, and areas where overstatement or misapplication of genetic evidence can occur. Participants will leave with strategies to critically evaluate FGG evidence and identify weaknesses for cross-examination and case development.

The certainty of laboratory results is often inflated, and shortcomings of a particular test may be completely ignored or minimized by both experts and attorneys. This does a disservice to the court and the pursuit of justice.
