Angela DeMarse has been practicing law since 2005 and has experience representing youth in delinquencies, dependencies, treatment courts, and when charged as adults. For the past fourteen years, she has worked at the Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender where she primarily represented teens charged in the adult criminal justice system. She currently serves as supervisor to law clerks and student externs and assists with community engagement including restoration of rights for those with former convictions.
Angela has a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cellular Biology and a law degree from the University of Arizona. As the daughter of an incarcerated father, she is an advocate for the children of the incarcerated and works to reduce the stigma that incarceration can have on children.
