About me
I have been an attorney for 26 years and a public defender for 25 years. I am cradle Catholic but a practicing Catholic for 37 years. I have always been interested in the confluence of Catholic faith and the law. This interest in the interplay between the law and belief led to my decision to attend Notre Dame Law School. It is at Notre Dame where I encountered Prof. Thomas L. Shaffer who formed my understanding of how to be a Christian and engage in the practice law and more specifically the Christian basis for a client-centered practice of law which still guides me as a criminal defense attorney today.
