About me
Katie Krejci is an attorney with the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office. She earned her J.D. in 2014 from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and has spent her career litigating criminal cases on behalf of indigent defendants. Since 2017, Katie has concentrated on advanced litigation and post-conviction matters in sex offense cases, including trial, pre-trial resolution, probation modifications and terminations, sex offender registration hearings, and sexually violent person civil commitment proceedings. In 2018, she was awarded the Arizona Public Defender Association’s Rising Star Award, recognizing outstanding work in indigent defense by an attorney with fewer than five years of experience. In December 2025, she received the Joseph Shaw Award, which honors an attorney with more than five years of experience for extraordinary dedication within the Public Defender. Katie also sits on the Arizona Sex Offender Management Board and was recently elected to the AACJ board.
