About me
Tracy Abastillas is the Criminal Immigration Resource Attorney at the Office of the Public Defender in Maricopa County (MCPD). Mrs. Abastillas consults with attorneys throughout the MCPD regarding the immigration consequences of clients’ charges and plea offers. She conducts new attorney and other regular trainings related to advising criminal defense clients of immigration consequences of criminal convictions. Mrs. Abastillas has been an attorney for 19 years and has previously worked as an attorney supervisor and trial attorney at the MCPD. She began her legal career as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the District of Arizona, working in both the Tucson and Phoenix offices.
